Actor Jim Parsons, aka socially awkward, super-physicist Sheldon Cooper on CBS’ hit series, "Big Bang Theory" got a star on the Hollywood walk of fame yesterday. That in itself isn’t unexpected news. But what he said about his character, the show and the people he works with, well, that kind of class is always an unexpected Thing in Hollywood.

"Why I’m specifically here today, the biggest reason is because I had the chance to play this incredible character that I neither created, nor write for, nor put into a series," Parsons said. "That credit goes to Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and Steve Molaro. And the credit goes to the rest of the cast Johnny and Kaley, Simon, Kunal, Mayim, Melissa."

I’m happy to see the humble and deserving Parsons get his star on the Walk of Fame. I’m even happier that it looks like he — and the rest of the cast of "Big Bang Theory"— will be around for a long, long time.

See you next week,
Bobby
